WHX??

Yep that's what I'm saying Ritchie the 857 came with one like that .... don't know if it was an original thing or not ? :confusion-shrug:

Maybe a dealer replacement?

In any case guys  thought a 953 had the stomp on style start switch on the dash? @953 nut is what JP has the correct style? Not that it matters since his is a custom now.

I want to thank @19richie66 Richie for letting me adopt this 953. It has been a fun tractor to work on. I can really appreciate the tool box and gas tank modification. And thanks for letting me have the original wheels and the patina tins.

It looks fantastic! Just the way it should. :handgestures-thumbupright:

So far everything I have deposited on the white portion of @BOB ELLISON made seats has come of with Tub O Towels. These things are great, in the early days of Coved when the grocery stores were out of stock on cleaning wipes I went to my favorite auto parts store and got some for the house, my wife loves them!

I have one more thing I would like to give you for that tractor. I had originally nicknamed it “Hank” after my late father n law. We made this plate for it and I was going to put it on the rear seat frame. I forgot they called you Hank. Seems it should go with the tractor.

Thank you again Richie. I will mount it as you intended to. Now that I have come to know this tractor the name fits.

I use Hank because it was my late Father's nickname.

When I drove it out for pictures it did not want to run as it should so I did not get a very good ride. I found that the magneto was not grounded good, so I fixed that and took it for a ride down the road and across the street. It drives nice.

Made a steering wheel insert today. Now I need to order some decals from Terry.

New steering wheel decal and new knobs for choke and throttle.

KIMG0695.JPG.b47e2cd02f5cc34d7f709834364c69e2.JPG

I removed the rear wheels to do some body work to the rear fenders.

I found out the rear wheels were loaded but I could not remove the valve cores. I ordered new tubes and had the old ones removed and the new ones installed by my go to tire store.

I removed the hubs and reinstalled them using anti-sieze. I recently purchased some rear wheel weights and will load the tires after I install the weights.

Fenders before body work
