Front Wheel Bearings

Thought I would ask the ones that know because I for one don't know . I have a '73 12 Automatic that I started noticing a slight bit of play in the right front wheel. I'm currently using the tractor to haul wood and I'm trying to avoid down time by having the parts when I start the work. Looking at the parts break down that I have the part number for the front wheel bearings is 4999. Is this correct? From google search there seems to be several places that sell a replacement for these bearings. Any suggestions on where to buy would be helpful and which style i.e. sealed or greaseable. Since I'm not the worlds greatest mechanic with nothing more than basic tools , any "how to" help would be appreciated for sure.

I bought sealed bearings in a couple 10 packs of the popular auction site. 

 

I like the sealed part for the convenience of no maintenance and no mess.

I initially thought I'd just use them on my non-workers but about 3 years ago I put them in my workers. No grease mess and holding up great.

I'll be using them the same here as well. 

No real heavy usage yet. 

 

We'll see how they hold up next year.

@ebinmaine  got them in my stuff , with those wide rubber side shields ,did the clean out and a lucas upgrade , been solid , thats just me , bearings  have had no problems , pete

He's popping the bearing seal out and then putting it back in.

@ebinmaine  sorry to confuse you , have been popping wide rubber. side bearing shields , for quite a while now , matter of fact when ever I do a bearing search that is the first thing I want  ,wide side shields @Lee1977 was right on it . there probably isn't  a bearing on my stuff that has not had the lucas upgrade . small pocket screwdriver , delicately pry on the side edge , no damage , do the grease switch , seal easily pops back in , no leaks . have no whining bearing noise or failures  since, keep it greasy pete

I like the bearings that have a seal on the outside but are open on the inside. Allows me to grease them and not have a mess on the outside.

@Achto  that's what i do on my mower decks , using that lucas x tra heavy duty , hi temp anti sling , polyurea grease , also in my mule duplicate bearings . no whining bearings and no failures since doing the grease change out , pete
