Recommended Posts

I'm knit picking everything before I start it  was told it ran 3 years ago. .  New rear end  seals new fuel line cleaned tank fixing a few minor issues on the way.  One question .....the lift leaver only has locked in up.position and down.  No settings in between?????    My 854 has a knob adjuster that i can set the down position where i choose. Am i missing something or is something frozen up on this modle i need to look at.   Thanks in advance.

Most of the early 312-8 came with a 1 inch rear axle and no adjustment implement height knob unless you ordered it.

That will day dividends in the future, make it correct now and you'll have less downtime later.      :handgestures-thumbupright:

You can get a used Dial-A-Heigth and add it if desired.

He beat me to it!

Might not have come with it, but almost certain the proper holes and such are in the hoodstand for the stop and adjuster to be added.

Do you all think I could add a “Dial-a-Height” to a 1984 Work Horse GT-1600 ?

If your dash tower has the hole in it on the left side. Then yes you can.

See the zoomed pic below.

@moe1965  , the condition of your rig looks clean ,  remove that related shifter plate , an aerosol the cross shaft end points , if you start getting a rusty run out , that could be your issue . track down every related area /opportunity to get some lubrication in there , constantly attempt to function it , if it starts to leak rust and it starts to move , you are on track . pete
