Someone here recently posted an article about powder coating. Some of the tractor parts had a "chrome" look....

You have 7-12? and 8" fronts?

We asked around for these rims:  It was 350€ for each rim

Having had lots of stuff chromed over the years (automotive, mini-bikes, tractors, etc...) I would be willing to guess $200-$300 per wheel easy.

I would like to find something a little different than polished aluminum, or just plain stock wheels. So far, the 2 suppliers I have found for polished aluminum wheels are, "Out Of Stock", with no idea of a delivery date. There doesn't seem to be many styles available. Actually, I've only found 2. Stock painted, or aluminum. Even new stock painted wheels are $150 each. You add $250 for chroming, that gets cashy, and no tires on them yet.

That would be my guess also. Another .... BIG hurdle could very well be actually finding some place to do chroming/plating!

Our local guy - been in business there ... forever? finally threw up his hands and sez "good bye: Said on top of the never ending restrictions - OSHA/EPA,etc - thrown at him constantly, and then his employees were ripping him by sneaking in something for 'a friend' and selling stuff on the side.

Another thing to think about: how much chrome will rust inside the tire. You can put some protection in there of course, but something to consider.

Probably not, but my :wh: aren't for work. They are just for show.

Same could be said about chrome wheels on a 4x4 pickup if we're comparing apples and oranges...

And I see lots of $1000 trucks with $5000 worth of wheels and tires on them.

I found this statement in an old thread from 2014, made by @buckrancher

"chrome ? I priced having two 8" rims and two 12 rims done and it was $800.00 plus tax"

Brian

This is a little discouraging.
