T 1267

Back in mid summer I was looking for parts to mount a 48” deck onto my, new to me, 1-7441 GT14. I ended up finding what I needed but the seller wouldn’t let the parts or the deck go without the Tractor.  I took the parts I needed and got the deck for the GT14 finished up and mounted. Mowed the rest of the summer with it. The Tractor that came with the deck is a T 1267 that had a broken rod. My plan was to sell it and the rest of the deck etc. Well, I got to looking at it and decided it was in decent shape (except for the busted rod). Anyway I patched the holes in the deck that came with it and took the Tractor to a young guy that lives nearby to have the engine looked at. Long story short, that didn’t work out,  so, I’ve been slowly rebuilding the K301. Never been this far into an engine before but I’m learning. The kid took a lot apart and when I got the Tractor back it was in pieces. I’m down to the parts I didn’t disassemble, like brackets, linkages and wiring. I need photos or diagrams to show me where  things are supposed to go. The PO told me he thought it’s a 1968 Raider. Can anyone confirm or tell what model and year it is from the photo attached?  I can add more pics if that will help.

There is such a thing as a 1267.  1967 12 hp electric start 6 speed I think it is.

That is a sort of general question. take a picture or two of the parts in question and we can help you along.

Yes I have a 1067 6 speed, has the same transmission as the 8 speeds 1967 10 hp. Nice simple tractor.

If the transmission is the original it will be a ten pinion limited slip unit.                     :woohoo:

Kevin nailed it on the head.

A 1967 1267, first year with a 6 speed transmission. Well worth saving.:handgestures-thumbupright:

Look through the Manuals that @gwest_ca posted, there should be some good exploded views showing where parts go. Beyond that, post pictures and we'll help you out as best we can.

The Kohler service manuals are great for rebuilding these engines. It's nearly impossible to get assembly wrong if you follow that manual.

And a 1267 is an awesome tractor. That was the first year of the 6 speed transmissions with the 867, 1067, and 1267 models in the lineup!

This thread is a month old but I think I have finally sorted out the linkages, leaks, wiring miscellaneous brackets, nuts and bolts. The old K301S is back on the Raider and running. Again, a huge thank you to Mike, Garry, Achto and all of the others that have shared their knowledge so freely. It’s great to be part of a group of people such as you all.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year.

Mike do you still the original tubing on the carb? I used to have the p/n# on those little rubber busing inside. Much better than rubber hose!

Mine still has the metal tubing too. The new carb from Isavetractors has barbed fittings that need to connect to rubber lines. I didn’t like that so I used another carb that I had allowing me to keep the original metal line. No leaks there at this time but had plenty in the fuel pump, tank valve and the adapter nipple from the line to the carb. All sorted out now though. Thanks for the source and part info. I’m gonna order them just to have on hand.
