grinchsr 627 #1 Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) Let me start by saying that I have never owned a C-series machine before which means I have never seen this strange oil drain system before. I have a very brittle rubber hose which I would like to replace. Hose is no longer available so what is the replacement? If the answer is hard piping what is the thread size and length? Mine has a piece of 3/8" pipe that is 2" long including the pipe cap. So I would say 3/8" pipe 2" long.

grinchsr 627 #8 Posted November 24, 2021 That is what I needed to know. I Want to get rid of that hard rubber hose. That is a good way to lose a motor in a hurry. Thanks for the replies.
Maxwell-8 4,275 #9 Posted November 24, 2021 I tend to always forget to install a drainpipe. Always end up making a mess, heck at least I have free rust prevention. 3 1
Racinbob 11,081 #10 Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) You could go solid but don't fasten the pipe to the frame. It has to move due to the wobble mount engine. @Snoopy11 has the right idea. I have the EZ-Drain on my workers. I love them. Edited November 24, 2021 by Racinbob 4
peter lena 8,627 #11 Posted November 24, 2021 @Racinbob good set up on that bob, those safety valve shut off ,s are very good. regularly use the difficulty of a problem to plan on it disappearing . BTW ,would use that flange base bolt to frame mount ,an ELECTRICAL LUG , to enhance your . battery grounding . go from battery ground point to that , 4ga cable , then from that same lug point go to a 12 ga wire to rectifier mounting bolt point ,and on to headlight ground wire . , have that set up on y 3 horses , no more electrical issues , pete
Alex175 784 #12 Posted November 24, 2021 Just changed the oil in mine last week and it was set up just like @Achto's, just a pipe with a cap over the end coming straight down. Took me forever to find it, I'm used to working on the Kohler twins where the pipe is a lot more readily available.
