oldredrider 2,553 #1 Posted November 23, 2021 Have a GT-14 with a magneto ignition. Want to switch over to battery ignition because of engine change. Is there a 4 position ignition switch, like the original, I can use for a battery ignition?

oldredrider 2,553 #3 Posted November 23, 2021 Awesome! Just what I needed. I owe you...some more!!! Thanks
oldredrider 2,553 #4 Posted November 23, 2021 @squonk it seems from some short searching, that # is for a magneto ignition. Correct me if I'm wrong....
squonk 41,839 #5 Posted November 23, 2021 I'm just going by that diagram. I would wire it with the 3 position 103990 if it was me.

Howard G 0 #8 Posted November 27, 2021 Can anyone help me with a no start problem? I have a 1992 Toro Wheel Horse Classic, 312-8. Model 3112K804 with Serial # 2000859. One of the switch terminals burnt off and part of the switch harness where that terminal went into. I need to know what is the PROPER ignition key switch, and if there is a replacement section of wiring harness that fits the PROPER ignition key switch. Also if the switch is a magneto or battery start switch. The original switch had no terminal markings ANYWHERE on the key switch. Any information you can give/send me, would be immensely appreciated as I wish to immediately purchase the parts so I can use the blade functions again, and do not wish to jumper any wiring. Thanking you in advance. Howard G. unbiased1946@gmail.com

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,170 #10 Posted November 28, 2021 Sometimes the terminals themselves on the switch are stamped with an identifying letter. Sometimes they are not stamped correctly either. Best to use the wiring diagram which shows the wire locations in the 5-terminal connector when looking at the back of the switch.

I would appreciate that, as I wish to get it running before the snow flies.
