I present to you my LOMBARDINI diesel engine.  1cyl 31ci and 14hp all Italian made.

screw on oil filter and a oil bath airfilter.

But the guessing ain't over :D yet  How much does this puppy weigh?

Turbo could be a nice addition, have one on the shelf, but think this will have plenty of power for now.

Was lambo in the trator business to start? I know one of those car guys started out that way.

Henry Ford made a few machines himself.

His first fortune was made manufacturing oil fired residential furnaces or boilers, if I recall correctly; then tractors, and finally cars for fun.

Wait, doesn't that label say "Lombardini Motors"? Is that a related company or subsidiary?

Very cool.

Rope start? That would definitely cut the weight.

Electric and rope!

Lombardini is the brand. IN 2007 bought up by Kohler. production moved to China.

This brand as nothing to do with Lamborgini apart from a small word joke. But they are the finest diesel engines from Italy.

These were the K-series of Europe, but then diesel. They run for 15 hours with a 5l fuel tank and need oil changes at 100hour intervals. And the fuel itself is 3x cheaper if I run off-road diesel.

The story of tractor builder Lamborghini start into building high end Italian cars. Lamborghini had a Ferrari and was not happy with the clutch that keep breaking. So one day he drives to Enzo Ferrari House and tell him about it and how to make it work better. Enzo who never liked criticism told him basically I'll make cars, you keep making tractors. This pissed Lamborghini off and decided to start building high end sports cars. This was in 1963 and by 1967 he was building cars as good if not better than Ferrari and still is.

I read somewhere that to own a Ferrari you must agree never to commercialize images of it or openly criticize it. Glad I never have to worry about stuff like that.
