wh5208speed 645 #1 Posted November 21, 2021 For plowing snow, I have used rear wheel weights & chains for years. I bought a snowblower a few years ago and when I was loading it up, the seller said “these weights are supposed to go with it”. It basically bolts in place of the rear drawbar and secured under the rear fender bracket. Holds 6-25# suitcase weights. My Dad is a retired machinist, so we are going to make some copies of this rear weight bracket for some of our other Wheel Horses. 9

JCM 9,130 #4 Posted November 21, 2021 In the WH / Toro Lawn and Garden bulletin # 050988 it shows that set up available for 3,4 and 500 Series tractor and a Ber vac blower. In 1989 I was quoted at the dealer $1700.00 for the 2 stage blower with wheel weights and the 520-H was $ 4000.00 and a 42'' deck was $ 700.00.

doc724 925 #8 Posted February 10, 2022 You can buy a suitcase weight bracket from Heavy Hitch. It fits into a standard 2 inch receiver hitch and is made to work with JD suitcase weights. Someone on the forum here was making the brackets with the receiver hitch and they bolted to the tractor in the same manner as the rear tach-a-matic (aka snow plow hitch). Suitcase weights are usually the problem. You can find them but they are pricey.

kpinnc 11,941 #11 Posted March 2, 2023 I took an old mule drive and welded a plate to hang weights on. As has been said, whatever weights you can find will dictate what you come up with.
