bolt on electrical lugs

Recommended Posts

if you want to easily improve your electrical grounding areas /  accessibility , I  regularly use this type of electrical lug , to carry on my power flow , https://www.grainger.com/product/BLACKBURN-Mechanical-Connector-3LN35?opr=IDPPLARECS&analytics=PLAPDP_undefined , you can easily find this type of lug at your local H/W store . only using the picture to give you an idea . but if you are setting up an electrical , anything , it would pay ,to have a few of these in your mounting areas . think about it , once bolted in place with dielectric grease and serrated washer , a flat screwdriver gives you easy access. they always come to mind in making things better , sorry if i offended anyone by daring to go off  original set up , always experimenting , pete

Also gives you a solid point(s) for the ground probe of a multimeter.

Still grease, but not green !!!

Pete:

Let them get over it!! No different than chucking the ammeter for a voltmeter, upgrading to LED lights or adding a non factory fuse for safety (as the 702, 854, and C81 had NONE)

Nice - Cecil & Elmer would be right proud how you take care or their Horses ....

Yup, next up I need to get the 854 8 speed and the c81 out of their summer clothes and dressed for winter duty......

@ri702bill those electrical lugs are also an excellent upgrade in a cable mount snow blower chute area. unscrew the original cable to floppy chute mount . drill out pop rivet , use a 1/4" s/s bolt,  washers and elastic lock nut , nut would go outside chute pull for clean operation , making a nice tight fit . lots of hours on this change over , on the blower , also added a teflon slide ring under the chute to blower housing base, swivels with ease . this is not in the book , but it sure does work easily . pete

Pete:

Good idea on the teflon ring - where did you get the sheet stock for that??
