Wheelhorse didn't have hub/turning brakes on C series with 12" wheels that I've seen.

@Oldskool has made a set.

What prompts your question?

Welcome to Red Square.

   Try doing a search.  Type with quotation marks...  "brake drums"   :occasion-xmas:

Handy Don

In an impressive display of craft and ingenuity, @Oldskool has modified/outfitted one of his tractors with turning brakes. Perhaps he'll post a picture or two?

Maybe transplanting cub cadet disc brakes could make for a cool modification.

internet picture think 149. But with 70's cub cadets you have ones with external and internal brakes, this is  obvious external. Their transmissions got shared over different models just like WH

:teasing-poke: your interest?

Would have already done it if Cub Cadet were ever sold here.... Doesn't look to hard to convert.

How easy is it to steer with those brakes?

It perks my interest a bit. I had a Cub given to me but not sure what year. I know it has a metal hood.

My brakes work fairly decent. There are probably some changes that could be made

I've been meaning to ask you about that.

What changes?

What changes?

Maybe use a bit thicker steel for the band. Also maybe change the direction of the actuation rod. Possibly down instead of forward? I was just using the WH design when I built it. There is definitely enough area of friction but maybe could use more torque on the rod.

Reference pic #3 in my previous response.

Those cub cadet brakes look very similar, if not the same as the d series turning brakes.
