Hello All,

Check out the belt guard add on...

Is it home made? Is it for the tiller (never saw a tiller setup like this...)

What is it?

Thanks!!

P S. I looked closer and thought it MUST be a tiller drive. But I've been inflrmed below it's a vac / leaf blower drive,  Cool...

It is for a leaf collection system that uses the PTO.

The blower mounted behind the seat, not on the deck.

Leaking axle seal on the right side!:)

The first 36" tillers for the horizontal crankshaft engines used similar belt guards but the 1967 models did not have running boards.

That is part of the 7-2611 vac bagger system. I just made a belt guard for my DIY version of that system.

Look at the attached PDF below.

Is it a leaking axle seal or is it the "auto lube dispenser for ease of later hub removal kit..."

:laughing-rolling: That's a good one!

Ya know, that easy hub removal thing made me think so tried using gear oil as a rust penetrate. It actually works on rusted bolts because it doesn't just dry up, drip off and it stays there. Put a drop on a rusted piece of metal and you will see the "creep" It doesn't work fast but it works (or at least it seems to) if you got the time.

WHX??

Yes that is a good one!

Maybe put some acetone in the tranny  to make it "creepy"?

I'm curious- do you have to remove the right step to install the belt for the blower? I decided not to build mine on a 1986 416-8 because of the 3/4 rod that supports that particular body style footrest at the rear.

Strange but you didn't had to take off the footrest, but the wheel

I just laid the belt on the ground and rolled the tractor over one side of the belt. Had to figure a simpler way if it broke.

But getting it all laced up is a BEAR with the wheel in the way, and a 300/400/500 series fender is fixed too, so I see your point.
