Gregor 4,847 #1 Posted November 4, 2021 My present project is going to need some wheels at the end. I know I can get polished aluminum wheels from Miller Tire, but I'd like to find something a little different. I like these. They remind me of dark center Keystones from my younger days. Anyone know of a place I might be able to find some other options besides polished aluminum?
roadapples 6,983 #2 Posted November 4, 2021 I'd have a set of those on my truck if it wasn't 6 lug...
ebinmaine 68,888 #3 Posted November 5, 2021 Did some poking around a bit this morning. I find those particular rims are American Racing Torque Thrust available in 14 or 15 inch. I figured you already knew that though... Maybe a UTV/ATV wheel shop has something in a classic style?
peter lena 8,878 #4 Posted November 5, 2021 @Gregor lots of similar american racing old school type of wheels on line , just match pricing and shipping against each of them . was looking for steel " holed " wheels for my ride and found a bunch of sights , just my insight , pete
Gregor 4,847 #5 Posted November 5, 2021 Gonna make some calls today. There are lots of wheels out there, but ATV/UTV wheels are usually 4 bolt. I don't know if the is an adapter to go from 5 / 4.5 to 4 bolt.

I'm thinking you could buy the appropriate spacers you'll likely need for the wheels you choose and drill as necessary.
Joe 77 B100 84 #7 Posted November 6, 2021 I was just given a b100 I plan to use only to blow snow and it needs new front tires. Should I get lugs or ribs? The present turf tires are 16x6.5x8. Will I need a different size if I go lug or rib? Thanks. Total newbie.

Best bet on the front is a set of turfs with #40 roller chain wrapped around the center of them. The chain effectively makes the rib of a tri rib but in metal so it gives excellent steering traction.

If scratching will be an issue, then the consensus seems to be that ribs or turfs with a LOT LOT LOT of weight in front is the way to keep traction. (IMHO, lugs look cool, but only really affect grip on powered wheels.) Edited November 6, 2021 by Handy Don
Gregor 4,847 #10 Posted November 9, 2021 I get easily confused on tire sizes. I just don't buy that many I guess. If I am reading this right, these tires are 26" high, 11" wide, for a 14" rim. Is that right?

8ntruck 7,183 #12 Posted November 9, 2021 Started talking about wheels and ended up talking tires..... Back to wheels. The typical wheel horse bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2, or is it 5 on 5? I can't remember right now. Those are automotive bolt patterns. You should be able to get those Torque Thrust style wheels with those bolt circles in 14" and 15" diameters and in various back sspacing. Something might be out there that would fit a wheel horse. Good luck and have fun.

In another thread, you'll read laments of the trend that more and more tires actual measurements do NOT equal their published dimensions.

Likely you can contact one of the vendors in your pics and get a true inflated size.
