Maxwell-8 4,277 #1 Posted November 4, 2021 Here in Europe we use RAL-codes for determining the paint we need. I don't know if that is the case in the US. Does anybody know the RAL code for Wheel Horse Red and WheelHorse white? And the black on blackhoods, is it matt, semi-gloss or gloss black? Have been reading a lot of posts about colors that come close, but since I will be repainting 2 Horses, spraycan's aren't really an option. Add in we don't get the paint brands sold in the US here in Europe. We thank you for your input

If you can find a source for "International Harvester red" and "IH off white" these are the colors that I use. The black would be a semi gloss.

Mike'sHorseBarn 2,998 #6 Posted November 5, 2021 I use RAL 3001, very nice color and almost identical to IH red. 1
WHX?? 48,828 #7 Posted November 6, 2021 It's alot like throwing horse shoes or hand grenades Max... especially in your neck of the woods where certain paint colors might be made of unobtainium. Just get it Red and close. Anybody notices different they are gonna have issues with all of us here! Like Dan or Mike says IH red is perfectly acceptable and we will not say a word given your circumstances.
