Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted November 4, 2021 Great show. Great memories with the old Case steamer, which they let me help fire on a few times. Went down a time or two over the years when my grandparents had a winter place in Placida.

19richie66 17,522 #7 Posted November 6, 2021 Love the show but it has just got too crowded with golf carts and side by sides. Almost been ran over twice. Other than that, a lot of neat stuff to see. 1

Yes Richie you are an endangered species at the Flywheelers Show if not on some type of motorized coveyance. 1

Lane Ranger 10,992 #11 Posted February 20, 2022 Florida Flywheelers starts on Wednesday thru Sunday next week. Putting my 754 together to run at show. Also staying at Rodney Burger’s ( lawnman_56) in Lorida, Florida. Rodney lives 1/2 mile from Lake Istokpoga, 27,000 thousand acre lake. One of Florida’s largest. Took a tour at sunset near the lake. ### Squonk (Mike Chasse) told me a neat trick for making old tires pliable and ready for mounting on steel wheels. Use DL hand cream (creamy no pumice). I bought a very early new old stock Goodyear set for one of my RJs.

Lane Ranger 10,992 #13 Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) Some pics from Florida! My 754 now a fully functional 1964 Wheel Horse. Put the matte clear coat on after power washing, sanding and fine steel wool use! First one for me like that patina look! Lane Ranger 10,992 #15 Posted March 6, 2022 I bought a New Old Sock pair of Goodyear front tires for use on one of my roundhoods In Florida! Squonk said using DL creamy hand cream (no pumice). Would soften them up. Used it and these are very pliable.
Lane Ranger 10,992 #16 Posted March 6, 2022 Talking with Clay Brooks I found out that these wheels were early Shenuit wheels used with Shenuit tires on early wheel horse tractors. They have six distinctive weld holes and are one inch narrower in the center from later RJ wheels but have the same width on hubs!

Add in everyone that brings their own, plus all the side by sides and it gets really crowded. Still a good time though!
953 nut 55,743 #25 Posted March 7, 2022 The grounds are so big you can't walk it and see it in a single day. About a dozen years ago I built a chariot to tow behind my , worked out well for us. Ran into a couple we knew and shared the ride with them too. 3
