Docwheelhorse 2,660 #1 Posted November 3, 2021 Hello all, so... im working on my new C111... except the model doesn't appear in Toro MPV... its 0111BH81 the serial number on motor puts its birthday as 02/05/1982... far beyond any C111 production. So... @Sparky dug araround and thinks it's a 1982 SB421 with a different hood/ decal. He also says that the model should have a dash like 01-11BH01 What's the story with the SB421 / the GT2500 / the C111 and there production after the newer body style was introduced? The 24057 serial fits in with the 1982 model SB-421 The build date looks like 2034 making it 1982 production. Adding C-111 would be a 1978 or 1979 model using the 1 as the last digit. LoL I've got several tractors with Briggs on them, and I'd say they are far more desirable than one with a Techumseh- to me at least. I prefer them over even the infamous Onan P220, of which I own three. P216 and P218 are ok... I actually passed on an original SB421 a few years back, and regretted it later when I found out it got scrapped. It was in pretty darn good shape too, but the owner had a case of "madewithplatinumitis" so it sat and rotted away over the winter. You may not know this but there isn't a Briggs under that hood so it should be good to go! Although it may require a little front end tweaking to support the weight when lifting it. LoL Oh, and I still need to add some lift assist springs for the handle too. Was wondering when that pic would show up to haunt me!
