Hydro question

Can anyone tell me if a hydraulic transmission from a C120 will fit on a C160? My C160 is a 77. Not sure what year the C120 is but they should be within two to three years.

C-120 uses 90-1136 Sundstrand 1974-1977

C-160 uses 90-1140 Sundstrand

I think the difference is the C-160 has hydraulic lift and the C-120 does not so was optional at the time.

I also think you have the parts in the C-160 that can be swapped to the C-120 to make the lift work.

Someone with experience will reply.

Should work.  if you want to keep the hydro lift you can but will have to move the implement relief valve to the new hydro.

Edit;  I assume your C-160 does not have a brake band on the hydro motor

Thanks for the replies. You are correct, no brake band. I would want to keep the hydro lift, so the main issue would be to move the implement relief valve from the old to the new? That doesn’t sound too difficult assuming the C120 is tapped for that valve.
