dcairns560 6 #1 Posted November 1, 2021 What length belt is supposed to be on the pto clutch on my D160 with Onan engine? The belt thats on it is 46" and marked Pix-A44 (4L-460) It seems this belt may be a little long as its adjusted to the end of the travel but is still fairly loose. Not sure if its severely worn or needs a shorter belt. Thanks for an insight!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted November 1, 2021 What does this belt drive? It will depend on the attachment.
dcairns560 6 #3 Posted November 1, 2021 There’s an electric clutch on the front of the engine that when engaged drives a pulley connected to the pto shaft and also a hydraulic pump for the front end loader
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #4 Posted November 1, 2021 The rear pto uses a 5/8" x 37-1/2" belt to drive it. Sounds like the same belt is being used to drive the loader pump so trial and error to find one to fit. Most places will allow you to purchase more than you need so you can find the best fit and return others.

Manual PTO D series have two sheaves on the PTO pulley. On mine the inner one runs the rear PTO the front one the hydropump for the FEL.

The inner belt on mine is missing, I dont currently use the pto so I never noticed the shaft wasnt turning. I ended up putting a 45" on to drive the hydro pump for the loader.
