Finished up the light mounting bar. The fenders looked the same on the bench and on the buggy, but when the light bar was being built I noticed the nose of one fender was 1/2 lower than the other. So of course that had to be delt with.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to hinge the hood in the middle or conventionally. Or mount in some other fashion.

The idea of a center hinged hood has a lot of appeal but it might be easier to keep it pinned front and rear for maintenance and repairs.

Can't decide if I like this look or not, but it's an option.:confusion-confused:

Well that's a good point. The hinge rod would be in the way during repairs and maintenance

How about making the bonnet, or hood to you, like in the photo's. But held down to the side panels with the rubber catches like on Wheel horses. Two each side fore and aft.

The A pillars are a mess. I've been putting this job off for a while now.

But it has to be done.

I'd say about 2 gallons of JB weld and a small amount of duct tape and you should be good to go.

Should I put a backer of sorts in there.? Maybe cardboard or  popsicle sticks?

Backer?? For what?

Oh no no no no no no no.

If you get any runs sags droops or absolute fall overs you just start over.

Backer. Now you're just being silly.

The inner structure is done on one side.

Good thing there is only 2.

I'm gonna have to come up with something for the top of the frame at some point.

One is finished. Probably not Boyd Codding or Chip Foose quality but I think it plays the part well enough.

Finally both windshield posts are done.

Maybe onto something easy and straight forward today. Like mounting the faux radiator cap.

Would that not require a radiator?  :confusion-confused:

LOL yes I guess it would.

1 faux radiator cap = old locking gas cap

1 faux radiator = old Ford gas filler neck.

I have decided to go with a  one piece hood.

Hinges and latch/s to be determined at a later time.

I may go with Stormins idea of the rubber T-handle latch like on the WHs. Probably pinned somehow on the front and latches on the back.

These are cool. Old Willy's style but this page seems old if they're only $10 a set

Hey guys I have been given a box of these flap wheels.
      5.25" x 1.5" with a 1" arbor hole.
I instantly thought great I can put one on my bench grinder.
      Nope!    Not that simple.
The arbor size is different, and it's to wide to fit inside the the guard.
I thought of removing the guard but would like to have it there.
I guess I could make an arbor adapter and a spacer for the guard, and a new tool rest, etc. More time involved then first thought.

Does anyone use these, and if so what do you have it on?

Hello fellas. I bought this 211-3 tractor. I have no clue how this mower deck comes off. I need to fix some areas on the deck, as well as replace a clutch cable. I can't seem to find pictures of a complete deck for this model as it should be. Need help.

Let's see your view from your workplace "window". I know some are driving truck,or tractor, work in shops/offices or outdoors. What is it that surrounds you during your work day?

I started a thread a little while back "Something from Nothing". It has been upgraded to this thread because now I'm building something from something lol. I started with a new frame and strengthened the transaxle mount a bit.
