Custom golf cart

I thought this was going to be a custom golf cart, not a full blown lowered pickup truck! haha:ychain:

Looks great!  :handgestures-thumbupright:

That electric motor has some work to do!

LoL. Thanks.

I will admit this project has grown a bit from the original thought. The build thread title is now a bit deceiving.

This was a different golf cart I acquired.

The electric one is still on the trailer.

Kind-a wished you lived in Florida. I hate to see this build stop due to weather. If I ever win the lotto.

"We're going to need a bigger engine" LoL

That thing looks great. Looked like a truck right from the beginning IMO.

Oh it won't stop due to weather. Actually in my line of work the colder and crappier the weather the more time I have to work on it.

Yes we are lol.

Well actually when I started it I had a standard UTV Side x Side look in mind.

When I started setting the parts on hand in place it really wasn't tripping my trigger.

So a quick shifting of gears I revisted my parts pile and thats how this all happened.

A roadster pickup wasn't even on the radar.

A little work on the arm rest today.

Everything is going to bolt together.

With the questions the wife has been asking I can see a door and roof upgrade of sorts it the future.

Yeah, that old 40s curved roof style would look cool but that's a lot of metal beating if ya don't have something on hand. Luv that old style look!

How about a convertible?

The convertible top is probably the way to go. Easy on easy off. Maybe even a Jeep CJ  type bikini top. If I go soft top in some way I might be able to forgo building doors

Or, your almost home with an early 20s side and roof like this, no doors.

Small boat bimini top?

Just throwing $&it to see what sticks

I like the idea of a bikini top like a jeep. You could put a hoop behind the seat on the cab uprights.

The C cab style isn't a bad idea. The top should be removable. So I could let the wind blow thru my hair 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The hoop has crossed my mind. I've been thinking a DOM pipe crash hoop. In case this thing ends up on its side somehow.

Uh oh, that's extra! We're going to need an even bigger engine than the big one now!

It doesn't say in the thread. The only option i have at the moment is to use 1 of these.

Right

He's gonna need to couple those cranks and turn'm into a twin cylinder. Too Bad he doesn't have 4 of them :ychain:

Started on front fenders today.

I knew there was a front fender in there somewhere.

It's been slow going with Christmas just around the corner.

Some progress on the front fenders.

Some brackets are under construction now. Hope they are mounted soon.

I really need an insert for that grille but nothing has popped up yet.

Appears to be an early one. AC series perhaps?

Hey guys I have been given a box of these flap wheels.
      5.25" x 1.5" with a 1" arbor hole.
I instantly thought great I can put one on my bench grinder.
      Nope!    Not that simple.
The arbor size is different, and it's to wide to fit inside the the guard.
I thought of removing the guard but would like to have it there.
I guess I could make an arbor adapter and a spacer for the guard, and a new tool rest, etc. More time involved then first thought.

Does anyone use these, and if so what do you have it on?

Hello fellas. I bought this 211-3 tractor. I have no clue how this mower deck comes off. I need to fix some areas on the deck, as well as replace a clutch cable. I can't seem to find pictures of a complete deck for this model as it should be. Need help.

Let's see your view from your workplace "window". I know some are driving truck,or tractor, work in shops/offices or outdoors. What is it that surrounds you during your work day?

I started a thread a little while back "Something from Nothing". It has been upgraded to this thread because now I'm building something from something lol. I started with a new frame and strengthened the transaxle mount a bit.
