The original lenses or sort of in between I think. They have some texture on the inside that sort of blocks the view of the bulb and I think the frosted sort of mimics that. 1

Its just like tapping transformer windings to get different outputs. For a very limited load that will work. however a bigger load will unbalance the batteries. Example military vehicles run 24v People tap one battery to run 12v accessorizes. Limited to a phone charger or other low draw OK but bigger draw and you start having issues the batteries do not charge up evenly... 1

I had to shorten the hood support rope to keep the connectors from pulling apart. The older rope on that bar is the original one, and probably could be used again. The front bulbs are 1156 tail light bulbs. You can get LED bulbs now to fit those sockets. 1

It’s actually fiberglass and is slightly taller, wider and the sides come down a bit more compared to regular metal Black Hoods… I think the design is intended to keep more snow/rain out due to the electronics, batteries etc… 1
SylvanLakeWH 25,524 #47 Posted November 11, 2021 (edited) More done today… Seat pan is now solid and works great! Created a “sandwich” of PVC board above and below the seat pan. Very rigid now… Fabricated a guard for the exposed wires on clutch side of the motor. I think there must have been something there new, but long gone…used the other half of the belt guard I used for the drive belt fab… Edited November 11, 2021 by SylvanLakeWH Added pic of installed wire guard… 2
