Brockport Bill 1,668 #1 Posted October 31, 2021 Can anyone identify what model WH tractors this exhaust muffler would go onto? It is close to what would be on C175 but top neck has a curve..... the C175 Kohler 17 twin is straight at the top connection? Any help ? thanks
roadapples 6,983 #2 Posted October 31, 2021 Looks to big in diameter for anything but a black hood...

peter lena 8,634 #7 Posted October 31, 2021 @Brockport Bill looks like the exact model from my 8 horse kohler on my 1982 - c 85 , still solid , in retirement mode . pete
oliver2-44 9,759 #8 Posted October 31, 2021 That look like the factory Nelson muffler on my 1974 C160. The 8 hp is smaller in diameter.

squonk 41,155 #12 Posted October 31, 2021 (edited) With that extra bend and larger can, I think it's a C-125,145 muffler. C160 Muffler looks like this: Look at this pic of the C-145 I had. You can see how "forward " the muffler is and can see the bigger can. Edited October 31, 2021 by squonk
rmaynard 15,514 #13 Posted October 31, 2021 Notice the little mounting tab at the bottom. That is for attaching the bottom to the shaker cradle of a 1978 and later C-series so the muffler wouldn't shake loose. All replacement mufflers made after 1978 had the tab, even for the non-shaker models. 5

clueless 3,005 #15 Posted October 31, 2021 Yes it is for a big block K with the shaker cradle thus the bolt tab, but it will work with the earlier BB K's with a little tweaking

Tuneup 1,433 #24 Posted November 1, 2021 A rusty one will go for $100. I know because I bought one (easily sanded and treated. So quiet on my C-125. The remakes are louder.
