Where’s all the lawn rangers here?

Recommended Posts

I saw this nicely done Lawn Ranger on marketplace and wondered why it seems I don’t see them that often here. Definitely in a class by themselves. Post em if you have em.

Still a capable little tractor by the pictures. I had one a long time ago and will again when the deal comes along. Your tractor and I are the same age.

@pfrederi I like the cutter bar reinforcements on that loader!  Not to get off topic… so nice Lawn Ranger too!

@Snoopy11 Don has quite a unique machine too.

were the transmissions given the same input pulley and gear ratios as the other round hoods, or were they sped up a little to have the same ground speed with smaller rear tires?

No speedup. Max is 5mph vs the 6mph of the "taller" cousins using the same drive line (pulleys, belt, clutch, and belt cover). Difference is the rear tire size.

Uses same input pulley as 856 etc.  Engine pulley is same size also.

It’s not mine but one I saw this morning. I don’t see them that often or haven’t in awhile.

Here's mine resting after a hard 30 minutes work regrading a friend's driveway. :)

Meh... not for me... 30+ in third...:banana-wrench:

Although... I rarely use that kind of speed.

At that speed... my John Deere zero turn would outrun my WheelHorse...

 :hilarious:

Now, that simply can't be right! A horse simply must be faster than a deer...

They make great tractors for the littles. The red one belongs to my grandsons and I’m working on one for my granddaughters now.

Here’s another of Denny’s creations I talked him out of. It’s super comfortable and capable and kids of all ages love it. My boys are 6’5” and 240 and like it the best of any of my tractors. A63B2773-5142-4963-8505-91CFFD0B6CAC.jpeg.9b1dd9eddeaa19239de5612698bcfd79.jpeg

I had one that I just sold recently. I am 6'5" 275 and I found that with the deck on wasn't very easy to get on and off of it. When on it, not very comfortable. Mine had the tecumseh engine that did start easy, both pull start and electric start. Run great but just wasn't a keeper for me. Que up some Circus music when viewing the last photo.

I know it's gone, but how was the quality as a mower? The gear-drive decks aren't that appealing to me, but I could be convinced.
