Gregor 4,846 #1 Posted October 26, 2021 A pic from another forum. Just from what little I could see and lookup, I'm guessing a 400 or 401, but I really have no idea. Did the hood come that way, or did a 16 yo do a little custom work? Notice the unique hitch. I'm wondering if this tractor only has reverse, as the tires seem to indicate. 1
rj35hunter 283 #2 Posted October 26, 2021 It’s a 1958 RJ58 for sure but from what I can see by some details like the early style BFG tires on front & round hubs on the rear, it could be early 58….has wrong engine and mowing deck for that time period. Are there any more pictures of it?

rj35hunter 283 #4 Posted October 26, 2021 Yes that is a early 1958 RJ58 with the square more crude made hitch (part coming out of hitch is not original) and for sure has the early fairly rare round hubs only seen on really early ones. This is worth saving just for that part alone IMO! It needs to be saved and put back using correct engine etc…..

No. Looks like a PO must have gotten a new drill for Christmas and wanted to try it out. 2

Pullstart 62,917 #9 Posted October 26, 2021 Just imagine how much cooler that would run with the hood vents!

Achto 27,609 #12 Posted October 26, 2021 (edited) Your pictures remind me a lot of my Suburban 400 when I found it. Edited October 26, 2021 by Achto
