Horse_rebuilder 5 #1 Posted October 22, 2021 I saw a 416-8 and it looked to be an 87ish with the magnum engine it had a missing transmission however, I have an 87’ 310-8 with the magnum 10 and was wondering if I could use the transmission from the 310-8 for the 416-8? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There is a difference though...the 310-8 transmission has 1" axles with a 4 pinion differential...the 416-8 transmission has 1 1/8" axles with an 8 pinion differential. 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The 1 inch, 4 pinion transmission is the lighter duty of the two mentioned- but still tougher than anything sold new today.
