Tire Fitment

WHX??

Anybody know if these tires/rims would bolt up to C-195 hubs? They are for sale and seller claims they are off a D-160.

Not sure what tire size in on a Super C or bolt pattern is on the Super or a D

The tires in question are 26x12-12’s.  D series wheels…

The 195 run 27 inchers originally. 27x9.5-15

The bolt pattern is 6 on 6, and the pilot hole is 4.63"

The offset will determine if they can fit.

D series rims should fit the 195 hub, as it is identical to that of the D.

Thanks a bunch Tom, I'll take a look at that offset when I get home & maybe Dan can check the offset on his D.

For what the guy is asking we might be nuts to pass on these.

My 195 just has turfs on it and going to be used for tilling and possible plowing.

The backset on 12" D series wheels is deep... 6"

For plowing you will be happy with a little lower gear ratio, and some grip. Think they can be a good fit. I can measure the max offset tomorrow morning. Mine are set up with 1" clearance, and that works perfect. :-)

Yes my  C-195 turfs are 27-9.50 12s. Skipper.

Rim backset is roughly 2 1/2" and roughly 5 1/2 to the front on C rims. Any idea what the front set is on D rims Paul? Could D rims be flipped around is what comes to mind. Spacers might be another work around? Those ideas might put the rims out of wack for plowing tho. Not a big deal just have to aquire another beast to set up for plowing!

Guessing the pics are showing the back side since stems are to the inside. They do look deep.

Here you go Jim

I have made mine 4 1/4" from hub mating surface to tire bead on the inside. then there is roughly 1" clearance.

Not sure what year your 195 is, but if it is an 84, the hoses to the hydraulic valve block is your limiting factor on the left side. I got one hose tied up or it will rub the tire.

If yours is an 82-83 model, you might be able to get away with 5" or a bit more backspacing, depending on how much your tires bulge out. But be aware, if you get too close, the 3pt may snag on the tire.

Here's a few pics for reference.

Thanks Tom it is an 84 with levers up top. It also has rear PTO like yours but I don't think that would be a factor. Looks like it is pretty tight to the tank. My worry there would be mud caking up in there.  I did tie wrap the hoses up as well when the fender pan was off for cleaning.

Looks like your lower arm chains are tight, mine are very loose so might have to address that.

Bear in mind I run 31" tires, so you will get more clearance on top, and it also seems "your" tires are rounding a bit, so perhaps they can sneak in. :-)

Front set is also 6"  Also you would loose the rimmed edge needed for your tapered lug bolts....

That was something else I was wondering about Paul. Not an issue if both sides are 6 inch. Would do no good to flip the rims around then.  Did you mention if you made spacers Skipper? What rims are you running?

I'm running blank rim shells 14" wide and 15" diameter from speedway motors, and centers from Heywheels. Mounted them up and tapped the rims into place and made sure they ran true, then welded up. Those shells also come in much narrower ;-)
