I learned what I know about engines from old engine guys, I learned welding from some old guys, and... as a side note... not trying to date him... but I wouldn't have found good/affordable tires if not for @ebinmaine... so... no replacement for the older guys or the Wheel Horse family. I will have to gap weld the original holes in the seat pan. It is much more comfortable with my long legs, since the pedals are now further from me. We have users who are 1.5 - 1.9 m tall (60-75"). I installed a set of seat sliding rails similar to these and made everyone happy and safer operators! Edited February 22, 2022 by Handy Don 2

I am 73" but have legs similar to someone how is 78" Helps out with those karate moves But in cars, I often have to choose between, comfortable legs or being able to reaching the steering wheel and bang my knees into the dash.
Maxwell-8 4,277 #138 Posted February 23, 2022 (edited) So the winch arrived. Nice thick cable, wiring I am not the biggest fan so will probably change out the cables with thicker ones. With insolation they are 0.19" the 4.8 grade hardware will be trown a out and replaced by 8.8 grade at least. The winch is 10cm (3.8") high so that gives me just enough room for hood hinges. I am going to paint the winch in red as well. And I went with 50A connectors, they aren't as bulky, But yet I believe they are going to be able to do most if not all of the temporarily accessories I plan on running. Like lights on a trailer, etc. Edited February 23, 2022 by Maxwell-8 6
Maxwell-8 4,277 #139 Posted February 24, 2022 The previous owner of the C-175-8 gave me this hood from a B-111. I good use it to make my hood taller. But the winch looks good too., I am not sure if the tires would clear the winch sticking out. Would be close for sure! 3
ebinmaine 67,593 #140 Posted February 24, 2022 It's your build and all so you do exactly what you want to. I would leave that winch right where it is. I think it's an excellent add-on in the position that it is and it won't interfere with anything. 2

Pullstart 62,905 #142 Posted February 24, 2022 I concur with the masses. It looks great where it is, but it’s your build ultimately!

Handy Don 12,235 #144 Posted February 24, 2022 Innovative placement. Keeping the spool centered is wise, in my opinion. If you have the ability to duplicate the hinge built into the attachamatic, so much the better (or cut up a donor?)

Maxwell-8 4,277 #149 Posted April 14, 2022 Getting everything ready for summer as been a been really time consuming but I am slowly getting back in to the Wheel Horse. Started welding up the hood support. 5
sjoemie himself 3,068 #150 Posted April 15, 2022 The winch breaks up the hood extension nicely. Looking good. Are you planning on taking this machine to shows or is it just intended for work only?
