The Hatz engine on Radpferd came with these cool instructions on the recoil.

 

I believe that they put the illustrations on there to show you how to remove that rubber handle from the starter rope. At least that is the results that I get when I follow these illustrations.

Started to do some tear-down and some fabrication for  the restauration and improvement

 

 I will be converting the seatpan and fueltank support to an older style. This will give me some more storage space and will keep out grass and mud out from the shifter area.

I went with the thickest metal plate I could work with. So the tractor will weigh a couple extra pounds! 

 

This is my C141D currently. the front fender supports were already broken off which I fixed. I put in some spacers between the trans and chassis. therefore more stress will be put on those supports. 

And since I am raising my fender pan, why not fix all these problems in one.

 

The plan is to look somewhat like my raider

 

3mm (1/8)"   steel is a b*tch to get bended.

Finished to dashboard lift, 4" of lift in total. I am happy with the result. 

Will have to lengthen the steering shaft. but moving the top part of the dash back 2" allowed me to maintain the same angle of that steering shaft.

 

Still not sure which way I will go for lifting the hood in the front

You may never have noticed this... but I did something very similar with HellHorse. I needed to modify the hood. SO... for the front, I took a piece of "L" steel and welded it on. Put a hole in the middle, and a bolt through the hood, into the "L" steel.

 

Easier to show you with pictures... but I don't think I have one of that.

 

It basically looks like an "F" when you are looking at it.

The dash extension looks good. For raising the hood you could try to make a mirror image of the lower end of the hood. That way you won't end up with a big flat face in the front, breaks it up a little. Also like mentioned before you could add a bumper and/or a frontweight or frontweight-rack Maybe even somekind of hitch?

Have been think to make the hood itself longer but that would be very hard whitout a spare hood. 

Have been considering a weigthbox

 

I measured it up at this will just fit. 

This 2500lbs winch. extra use, and extra weight, don't know if it will look good on there tho

If you build your bumper big and heavy enough, nobody will ever see the body lift.

 

“Frank” has about a 3” hood lift to clear the big block and meet up with the Raider dash stand.  It looks quite proportional to Putt Putt with no body modifications.  The bumper was just scaled up a bit.

The winch idea is pretty sweet, both aesthetically and functionally pleasing. Another option would be to make a hood scoop. That way you could take up one to one and a half inches. That does depend on how wide the block is on top, might not fit inside the hood.

 

Also that could get you in trouble with the WH purists, that is, if they're not looking the other way already

the gastank or I should say the dieseltank is another issue. Partially why I had to lift the hood. And I already raised the dash 4".

Looks good! and make it into a toolbox. Should be able to make it so the attach a matic is still functional.

It  currently sits into his stock position, It has to be gravity fed. the metal tank is just to wide to fit behind the dash and I still have to figure a location for the battery. (better did an extension of the frame like on Colossus.) 

 

Maybe try and find a smaller metal tank that will fit. But I don't think it's going to be hard getting the tank mounted like it is on the picture. or I may try the other side of the engine?  Got some tinkering to do for sure.

You got to love Italian engineering. 

Had to take of diesel tank, fuel and pressurized injection lines, the oil filled airfilter, engine shrouds, just to get the fuel tank supports off. 

They have to get reshaped to make the hood fit.

The oilfilled airfilter for sure did it's job, lot of dirt  trapped inside in the oil.
