2021 Threshing Bee & National Two Cylinder Show in Fairview OK

Last month we attended the Threshing Bee & National Two Cylinder Show in Fairview OK. Always one of our favorite shows, as it is fairly local, and always has a lot of neat working exhibits. I have been attending this show since I was a kid, but this was the first year I was able to take anything. We took our 1942 Case SC and a 1933 Maytag 92. Hope to take more next year, including our 753 and the two seater (if I ever get off my lazy rear and get them done). Was talking to a friend of mine that helps put on the show every year, he said they counted over 100 tractors on display, making the largest turnout they've had since the 80s

The last photos here and the first few on the next post are of an old hotel they have on display that you can walk through, they also have a museum and an old train depot you can go through, as well as an old steam locomotive you can climb into and sit in.

               Thanks for taking us along.  Seeing this Case reminds me of the many hours I spent on one cultivating corn as a kid.

Loved seeing this Case with the outboard steering arm and the square socket below the grill making it able to convert over to a wide-axle

The square sockets under the grille are for mounting cultivators (and possibly other implements) as seen in this picture here. Not my photo, but one I found on the web to illustrate the cultivator mounting on the SC.

 

Here you can see my 1942 SC that we took to the Fairview show, which has the wide front axle, which mounts in the same spot as the narrow front.
