Snoopy11 5,714 #126 Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) Well, you have to consider, Eric, I only have 1 tractor for my land. And, HellHorse works its butt off and does everything I need. HOWEVER, I don't want to use HellHorse for everything... including: Hauling my garbage down my 400' driveway every Thursday. Going back in the woods to the pond every day to feed the turkey... and again to put her in her coop. Weed-eating the property. Leaf duty... 2x Mowing 20+ acres... And many other daily duties... that I won't take time to mention HAVING SAID ALL OF THAT... I love my horse... and I never smile like I do when I break out the old girl. I guarantee you though @ebinmaine... if someone traded me a horse for my recent JD project, I would trade in a heart-beat!!! Anyways now I get up my neighbors leaves… That picture alone took years off my life... I HATE RAKING LEAVES!!! Where I live now has a few maples and several dreaded Bradford Pear. I just point the mowing deck torwards the pasture, and the critters eat all the blown leaves like potato chips. 24 hours, and they are gone! 1

Biggest reason for me is I can't find a flippin' rake that I don't break. 🐻 Couple seasons ago I changed over to high wind speeds for moving leaves. @wallfish gave us a Ridgid shop vac which has a removable top that transmogrifies (shout out to Calvin and Hobbes) into a VERY nice leaf blower. This year I bought a gas powered handheld blower. Both work well enough though the corded one seems a tad more gumption-ish. Highly recommend one.
