ronhatch 406 #6 Posted October 9, 2021 (edited) Yes. I made the spindles from ground and polish 3/4" shaft. The frame is lengthen by 4" and the rear rims are 14". The color is Ford tractor red. Even though I drove a lot of Farmalls when I was young, I really liked my uncles model "A" and "50" John Deeres the best! Sorry, Like my wife says; "deal with it"! ronhatch 406 #10 Posted October 9, 2021 (edited) Yes Pullhosen, those are GM car 14" rims. I also extended the steering shaft t a little and remove the center section of the seat pan and re-mounted the fenders to the axle housing. I removed the box between the steering tower and the feeder pan and lowered the return side of drive belt by adding an idler The muffler is from a IH Cub. When I remove the plow, the lift handle becomes a hand clutch in addition to the foot clutch. That realy comes in handy! After this picture was taken, I swapped out steering wheels because the C-101 steered so hard even with the thrush ball bearings in the spindles. Most of the C-101 modifications are to the 42" SD deck. Replaced the gauge wheels with a full length roller for that ball park look, Added a SS front 'skirt' that is about an 1" lower than the front lip of the deck so the grass doesn't blow out the front any more and finally I opened up the discharge opening by about 4" to eliminate the grass clumping. I wanted to speed up the blades by replacing the double center pulley with a smaller center pulley from a 36" SD deck, but the design is a little different and I haven't made the necessary modifications yet. Now it blows out the grass in a wide fan shaped pattern with no clumping Also notice the mods to the height adjustment. I now have 10 different heights to chose from.
