Wheelhorse c-100 drive belt

Recommended Posts

Have a C-100 1-0390

Drive belt went and I put a new belt on 82" by 5/8"

Drive belt would not disengage, grinds trying to get it into gear.

Then put the belt cover back and it worked for a while--now have same problem.

Question--Does the belt ride above the tab on the cover or below?

idler pully looks goods--tab on idler pulley too far forward but it worked before so i left it alone.

Is it correct that the idler pully tab contacts the belt when clutch is pushed in?

OEM belt is # 7473.  If you bought an aftermarket belt, the geometry is not the same and THAT may be part..or all...of the problem.

The belt should ride above the step on the back side of the belt cover to 'catch' the slack when clutch is depressed.

Sorry, but I ordered a brand new belt and it is taking so long to be delivered,  10 days (crazy) when it is I will put it on and send a picture.

The belt I had was too tight, it was a 82" by 5/8 but was a struggle even getting it over the pulleys so I sent it back and ordered another one  NAPA
