Push the turn signal lever forward toward the dash…if it has tilt wheel that’s the release. Ford didn’t bother to label this on so-equipped vehicles. kind of weird. But not as weird as the turn signal stalk horn button. Push the lever in to activate. steve No tilt on this one. I wish it had tilt as the wheel could be a notch or 2 higher. Fella that built this truck made it out of several trucks. The only option I'm aware he put in is HD heating and cooling knowing he'd be towing occasionally. It has a radio but he never even connected the speakers. 😀
Lee1977 6,648 #27 Posted October 7, 2021 Go on back floor mounted starter button with the key switch on the steering column. I'm not sure if it locked the steering but I think it did. Had three speed shifter on the floor. 1936 Ford These new car with push button start, my old 50 Mercury had push button start on the dash, the switch was on the right side of the wheel and the starter button on the left.

GM A body 2 door hardtops. These were the ones that had 'sail panels' that extended slightly past the rear window into each rear fender. The wrinkles were a forming problem that had not been solved before production started I did auto body and auto glass for over 30 years and have done a lot of vinyl roofs. They were just another way to add money to a new car, but a car that came from the factory with a padded vinyl top would have the seem between the roof and quarter panel just smeared with seem sealer, maybe that is were the rumor was started. It was a pain to take an old car and remove the old vinyl and just paint it, lots of body work to do. We also would put a padded roof on a car with hail damage, customer looked at it as an upgrade, but he vinyl didn't cost much and was easy to put on. So we would make bank! I really kinda miss doing those, but never got to do a full convertable top. Some of those cars the tops covered part of the rear window and you would have to replace a top to replace the back window if it got broke out!
