Pullstart 62,905 #1 Posted October 5, 2021 They say steering wheel roll pin and stuck hitch pin removal are rights of passage. Well… my steering wheel popped off during our nap ride today! I managed to use down pressure on one side of the wheel to get us about 1/4 mile across the field to the house. 1 2 9 1

JoeM 7,874 #21 Posted October 5, 2021 You can take out the roll pin and drive some of them forever and they never come off. I figured you told the camera person to run to the shed for a 1/4" bolt????

Still sitting where it shut off with no wheel. The cup holder sure makes a good wheel hanger!
echris 1,425 #25 Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) I remember as the "shop kid" they'd always give me the **** jobs. Old timer: "Whatsamatter kid? Having trouble getting that steering wheel off?" *walks away chuckling* Not sure if you're lucky or unlucky. Nah, cute lil one. You're lucky. EDIT: In some ways, you know what was worse? Driving that roll pin in on a brand new tractor. 13 year old me was terrified I'd do something stupid like swing the hammer right into the sheetmetal.
