The engine in the B-60 smokes pretty bad so I figured I might as well make a C160 out of it with that spare 16 horse I bought then I’ll just rebuild and do a nut and bolt restoration on my original C160.. 7 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Racinbob 11,091 #10 Posted October 6, 2021 I've been calling this my B-160 for years. It started out as a 1976 B-80 that I purchased brand new. As mentioned already the 76 & 77 B's are identical to the C's save for the horsepower, low back seat vs high back, 22.750-12 rear tires vs 23.850, 13" steering wheel vs 15", headlights optional on the B's. I bought the headlight kit with the tractor and a couple years later WW Grainger was closing out the Kohler K's and I latched on to a crate K-341 for around $250.00. Easy peasy swap and the B-160 was born. Years ago this was used to mow, push dirt, snowblow, till and plow. Today it mows in the simmer with my wife piloting, in the winter it runs a snowblower. I think the steering wheel is hit or miss on the Cs, my 77 C160 has the small hard three spoke wheel, and 76 C120 has the big softer 2 spoke wheel.
