Horse Newbie 7,074 #927 Posted March 7, 2022 I sanded on the seat pan a little more and primed it for the Work Horse… 2
Horse Newbie 7,074 #928 Posted March 7, 2022 Does anybody know a source for the little square rubber bumpers (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch square) ? I have seen them used as a bumper between the foot boards and seat pan/ rear fender on many Wheel Horses. They may be seen under seat brackets also to keep from damaging the seat pan paint. Thanks…
ebinmaine 67,592 #929 Posted March 7, 2022 My first inclination would be to tell you to call McMaster Carr. There are other ways you could go as well. I don't know what thickness you're looking for but you might be able to get a hold of a sheet of gasket material and cut the squares to your own size. Spray glue them in place or whatever. Also a possibility might be sheets of some sort of furniture to floor protector. Bunches of different kinds of that. All the tractors that Trina and I have, the seat pan folds backwards. Not bolted in place like the newer ones. We've used door edge protector in that same location.

I would agree. I had 1/4 inch adhesive rubber bumpers from work stuff, and still got some scratches. The area between the footrests and fender flexes quite a bit.

I thought about how long the thread was today… I sand two pieces and post it …thought maybe I should save up some progress and post more per post… I did predict that I would finish the Work Horse in 50 pages though… still a possibility since I’m painting body panels now… 3
Horse Newbie 7,074 #943 Posted March 8, 2022 See this jibber is taking up valuable space ! But I don’t mind it a bit . I need to do a “progress” type thread instead of a “reveal” type, because I need help and advice along the way. At the same time I see why others here like a “reveal”. 2
