Mine are 6000K which means a little bit 'whiter', perhaps almost 'blue-ish', than the 5000K. I figure if I'm going LED I'm gonna get 'em as white as possible, but 5000K is good too. I wouldn't go any lower than that because they start to turn yellow. Edited January 21, 2022 by Jeff-C175

I think the 'hump' you see in the cover is the top of the spindle. Mine have C-clips and not split cotters. You might have to flatten that cotter head with a hammer. Horse Newbie 7,074 #587 Posted January 21, 2022 If I hammer that cotter pin head down flat, those black dust cover caps will slid over the top of the end of the axle where the spindle shaft comes up through right ?

MANY of the ones I see on Amazon are also AC/DC. @Jeff-C175 are these the ones you have ? @kpinnc look 6000K !

But yeah, that is probably them. Those ones you showed were higher Lumens though... but these are pretty bright too. I imagine side by side 800 versus 2000 would be huge though. kpinnc 12,086 #595 Posted January 21, 2022 6000K will look bluish. Mine are 4500K and look snow white. I got my dust caps at the big show years back. But I will definitely get some from Lowell if he has them.

I think the ratings are much like lumens. There is no standard, or the standard gets regularly ignored. The actual range puts white in the 4500-5500 range.
