Don't use much it needs a little but too much will get on the clutch disk. It only uses that bearing when it's not in use.

I just wiped down the needle bearings after wiping them clean...I'll keep my fingers crossed !

Making sure you have this

@gwest_ca...thanks for posting...would I still have those thrust bearings with an engine model number 402437 I was thinking I seen somewhere in this thread where someone had posted spec details about the Briggs twins, and according to the way I read it, I had a Briggs with bearings.

If you look, I did say you had 1" axles and a 4 pinion differential.

Yes you did say that @stevasaurus, and you would be correct...but I would not know...I have to trust you guys.

Do any of you know if anybody on Red Square sells the PTO brake pad bracket ?

I replaced my clutch disc because it was almost worn to the rivet heads and the PTO brake pad is almost to the rivets as well.

@76c12091520h I see you have them for Kohler and Onans... I need one for a Briggs twin...

Would one  of the Kohler or Onans be the same as Briggs ?

I checked your vendor ad...only mentioned Kohler and Onans...

Hahahahaha.

Excellent.

There's certainly something to be said about a good full frame off every single nut and bolt restoration!!!

I'm thinking maybe yes, but I've never disassembled the steering block to remove a fan gear. It'd serve to lube the fan pivot and lower face below the gear teeth, as well as the steering shaft pivot, right?

Thanks @Gregor...it's got a grease zert that goes to the area that has the hole in the bottom.

I thought for a second that the steering column shaft had worn through...

It was dry, but did not have a lot of wear...

I'm moving forward with it !

@Gregor...man you are awesome with your help !

When I first responded to "Mine does", the pic had not loaded ( my phones about shot )...

When I seen the pic I said " This guy doesn't play around"

Now that's what I call a good answer !
