The flyer belongs to Bob F., a 93yo good friend of mine. It is kept in my next door neighbors barn and he delivers it to shows for Bob. It does run...the wings flap. the prop spins, and the wheels do drive. It will fly on a few select low gravity planets, unfortunately Earth is not one of them.

The guy that owned it was a character! It is a unique piece. Kind of nice to see that it is still around.

Ed Kennell 38,095 #10 Posted October 3, 2021 22 hours ago, Mike in NC said: Ed, is the Flyer yours? Mike, I got some better info on the Felton Flyer from my neighbor Jeff B. this morning. He is actually the current owner. Bob F. and another engineer/pilot flew to the Oshkosh, Wisconsin Fly In in the late '60s and saw one of these and decidec to build one when they got home. It was built in the '70s by these two men in Fertility, Pa. near the towns of Intercourse, Blueball, and Peach Bottom. It was rightly named The Fertility Flyer. About 4 years ago, it was purchased by my neighbor Jeff B. and moved to Felton, Pa. where it was renamed The Felton Flyer. The origonal builder, Bob F. still operates it at the shows. Bob had the wings flapping and the prop spinning at the S-O-R show yesterday. Paul Harvey "and that's the rest of the story".
