Nice.  It would be interesting if someone could explain how/why that aluminum foil trick works.  I assume it’s Chemistry?

Jim I used to do the same thing when I was collecting them. Clean them up make the tractor look a lot better.

 Wheel covers make great clocks, I have a 62 Rambler wheel cover make into a clock for my shop

alloy is a relative soft material and works great as a applicator pad when using  metalpolish on crome or steel. removes the rust very fast.

I do tend to finish with a towel to finish of and give it a mirror like shine.
