The Raider Called Home-brew

Recommended Posts

Sam Pasch

Hello all.

I haven't been on the group for quite some time because my wheel horse hasn't had anything new or any trouble occuring. However I recently added a second horse to the garage. It is a raider 10 that has had a command swap and some pretty spectacular duals. I traded it off of my friend for my wrecked simplicity 7790 diesel. He built it about 3 years ago and it sat for 2. All it needed was the battery charge and it even ran on the 2 year old gas. I call it Home-brew because it been made from bits and pieces of various tractors.

Here is the tractor I traded for. It sadly found its way off my trailer and into a ditch.

Welcome back!  You don’t have to need a fix or have a problem to visit though you know…. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Nice dually, and I like the name too! :orcs-cheers:

Here’s it’s younger dually cousin, The WHRat WHRecker.  It had a Predator swap and frequently parades my nieces around.

On your duals is there a spacer ring between the wheels? Mine doesn't have one and the tire tends to walk off center.

Yes, @SylvanLakeWH put this one together.  He used 12” PVC and I happen to have about 10’ of it left.

I haven't thought of that. Probably a lot cheaper that the 100 dollar spacer kits I've been seeing online

At the show this past weekend, I saw a GT with duals on the front. Don't quite get that, but to each his own I  guess.

A pic of build might help:

You'd have to call every tractor I have Home-brew if going by that rule!

I think of them like mutts. They may not always be the best looking, but they are the best kind to have!
