Need picture of underside GT-14 Hood

Recommended Posts

Some PO removed the tabs that hold the back of the hood to the Dash tower.  Also they drilled a series of hole across the hood ...who knows why.  I would like to fix it up but if some one had a picture of the underside of the hood showing the tabs it would be appreciated...

Paul, that was a 1969 only item, later ones had hinges. Not sure but think @19richie66 may have one with the tabs.

Checked this thread bc I have a 69 GT14 that only had 1 tab on the side when I got it. Today I made another for the other side and welded it on. Works good!  I was wondering about the two holes in the top of the hood???  Now I know they are for two more clips. Looks like more metal cutting, bending and welding is on the schedule.

Kind of off this topic but I got into this after chasing down the source of the oil that showed up on the exhaust side cooling fins. Turns out it came from the head gasket under the flywheel tin. I doubt if my ‘solution’ will be long lasting but I loose;ed all the head bolts and re-torqued them after cleaning up the fins on both sides. Might be my hopeful imagination but it sounded better after that. I haven’t run it long enough to tell about the leak though.
