A 1/2" street L 90, a nipple long enough to clear the frame and a pipe cap should do the trick.

For those not familiar with pipe sizes

Pipe sizes can be confusing. The different Schedules define the pressure ratings and only the ID changes for each. OD's stay the same.

The Schedule 40 dimensions and the most common.

1/8" pipe has a .405" (10.287mm) OD and .269" (6.833mm) ID

1/4" pipe has a .540" (13.716mm) OD and .364" (9.246mm) ID

3/8" pipe has a .675" (17.145mm) OD and .493" (12.522mm) ID

1/2" pipe has a .840" (21.336mm) OD and .625" (15.875mm) ID (Schedule 80 has a .546" (13.868mm) ID, Schedule 160 has a .466" (11.836mm) ID)

3/4" pipe has a 1.050" (26.67mm) OD and .824" (20.930) ID

1" pipe has a 1.315" (33.426mm) OD and 1.049" (26.645mm) ID

1-1/4" pipe has a 1.660" (42.164mm) OD and a 1.380" (35.052mm) ID

After you measure the OD of a pipe it is easy to spot increases or decreases in the sizes by the use of fittings because the size difference is substantial.

Don't confuse pipe and tubing sizes - they are different.

Don't most all small engines use 3/8" pipe thread?

I can't recall owning one that used 1/2" pipe, but i believe the wrench size on the square head 3/8" pipe plug is 1/2".

This my friends is 1/2 on a 161

Ohhhh you wanted stainless.... $XX times 30 horses = yah not gonna happen. I could see Squonkys valve for a special horse tho. Say a good worker or plow mule that requires frequent changes.

Seriously pretty sure a 241 is 3/8 NPT &  got a little fancy with this one. My life's goal is change oil someday with out making a mess or spilling one single drop. Prolly never gonna happen.....

Might be 1/2 on the magnums or later Ks ?? Wasn't the low oil sensing thingamabob bung on some tapped for 1/2?

Nail down the size Woodbird and plan your routing. Then go and go visit Ace is the friendly place and pick up some black fittings & nipples. Don't be afraid to get multiple length  nipples they are not real pricey.

!/4 NPT on a Clinton powered 'Burb.

I put the EZ on the C-160. It does the mowing and with the hose extension I don't have to take the heavy Recycler Deck off

These should take less room and costs about ten bucks.

      Info needed.
Going to put a oil drain on this engine next oil change and don't really know what I need to start. Trying to get parts ready before time.
I don't know what size the existing plug is ( see photo ) 3/8" 1/4" ? Getting tired of taking the deck down every time I change oil. Any input welcome.
      Thanks in advance...

Husband wants some advice… lol.  So we did an engine swap today on two suburbans because we could not get the one engine to spark all the time to get it running!  The engine ran last year before parking for the winter sleep…. Points were changed out for new the engine was cleaned to make good contact has new spark plug new coil condenser we even switched out the fly wheel today thinking maybe the magnet was weak…. Advice???   It would where are you out yanking on the recoil five or so times and maybe only get the points to fire twice if you’re lucky..  checked the gap and pull again… same thing over and over!  Thanks in advance!
