Harbor fright lift table?

Recommended Posts

clueless

I think I may have asked this before, I'm thinking of buying a harbor fright 1000 lb lift table. I would like some opinions, especially and long term reviews.

Is it this one?1000 lb. Capacity Hydraulic Table Cart 60438 alternate photo #1

I have an older one and it's like a 500 lb. model. Best investment I ever made. Use it all the time! :banana-wrench: I've had mine over 10 years! :banana-wrench:lift.JPG.54dd4f42c2e2261d55de7b747369d524.JPG

I bought this one - it comes disassembled so when I put it together I flipped the top tray upside down for the smooth surface and with an old piece of 3/4" plywood cut to allow a 48" deck to sit with the rear lift wheels to hang off the sides, I bolted the ply down, along with adding 2 caster wheels in place of the straight ones to allow movement in any direction. Along with the deck, it is a very convenient place to sit an engine, tranny, axle, etc.

I did this after I had sprung for one of HFs electric lifts that I hung from the rafters and realized it would make lifting the decks, engines, etc easily onto the cart which could then be rolled all around the shop --- one of my better ideas:thumbs:

Mike that what I plan to use it for mostly. Between my hip my weight and my knees, like K.C.:happy-partydance: I can get still down but getting back up is becoming more and more difficult especially repeatedly. Some of my WH's weigh 600 lb or more that why I'm looking at the 1000# lift all though that 1075 should weigh over 500#. Thanks.

I've picked up my 1267 fully assembled. just have to take the stirrups and belt guard off. I like the fact once a tractor is torn apart, you can roll it out of the way.

I bought my lift cart right after my spinal fusion surgery six years ago, it is the best tool in my shop! In addition to lifting heavy items it doubles as a work table which can be adjusted to the correct height for any job. Get it, you'll wonder why you didn't do it years ago.

Several years ago my wife took pity on me after all my grousing about crawling around the floor working on the tractor (my first one)

We looked at HF and about a dozen others and settled on this one

1200 lbs  it raises up to my waist level (I'm 6'2")  its air/hydrolic

I think we gave around $1300 for it   It's been worth every penny
