ebinmaine 67,497 #51 Posted September 17, 2021 Nice catch on the tires. I s'pose I oughta take a look at the ones on my '86 F250. That's a 20 year old restoration so the sneakers likely have some age too.

The owner of our dealership had a beautiful 1980 98 diesel as a demo. 2000 miles the crank broke in 2 My Dad had one of the VistaCruiser wagons with the diesel. After the 2nd replacement engine failed (yep, he was determined--two of my brothers were GM engineers and he was trying to keep the faith) he gave up and went to a Chevy minivan. squonk 41,118 #53 Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) We had a mechanic in the shop who thought his poop smelled like roses. He was working on a 79 Delta 88 with a noise in the engine. He replaced a couple of worn rocker arms. The customer shows up and he says I just have to test drive it. About an hour later it comes in on the hook. A piston decided it wanted to be in the oil pan. ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #54 Posted September 19, 2021 First trip was a success. We went to a small lake about 25 miles from home, spent Friday and Saturday night out there. Did some fishing, but not much luck, which I knew would be the case, this particular lake you really need a boat if you want to catch many fish. But we still had a good time with no major mishaps 6 4 1
Handy Don 12,227 #55 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) Looks like you had a very successful first outing! Congrats (and a tip of the hat to your spouse for spotting that very handsome camper--the truck, that is). BTW, I've heard that the activity is called "fishing" and not "catching" for a reason!
