JimSraj 429 #5 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Thanks One and all. I’m going to check out all the suggestions. There’s a tractor Supply and an Advance Auto nearby. Between them I should be able to get belted. Lincoln, at A-Z Tractor has the Stens belts and I am probably going there for a set of double D blades this week. After all the suggestions, and some online price checking, I found myself near a Tractor Supply today and picked up a Huskee 1/2” x 71” with a blue cover. $16.95. Put it on the tractor when I got home and mowed about 3/4 acre after initial tensioning. Probably stretched a bit so I’ll re-tension before the next mow when it’s cool. I think I had too much tension on the belt that gave up after about 6 or 7 mowings of about 3/4 acre each. I don’t have a way to measure the tension but tried to follow the 2.125”-2.25” guide in the manual. We’ll see. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tom2p 2,394 #10 Posted September 10, 2021 (edited) Recommend an OEM Wheel Horse belt the 'true' OEM belts are molded / wrapped and have Wheel Horse and the part number stamped on the belt Earlier this summer I grabbed a couple of Huskee belts and installed one on one tractor - looks and performs well and the price was good but I would not place the level of quality at the level of the true OEM belts ( The Huskee belts are similar or same as the Stens True Blue and A&I Products belts ; Made in India ) I don't know who manufactured the old Wheel Horse OEM belts - but the quality is outstanding ... they will go for years (and years) the newer 'OEM' belts made in Mexico are not at the same level - rather use a Huskee Edited September 10, 2021 by tom2p 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
