RJ35? Can anyone confirm nor deny?

Recommended Posts

IT’S NOT MINE, SORRY FOR ALL THE YELLOW YOU’RE ABOUT TO WITNESS!

Can anyone point out features that would confirm this is an RJ35?  Pond transmission, Clinton 1200 engine like my RJ35, etc.  The for sale sign states 1957.  Is it a Schnake recoil?

Yes I agree 1957 RJ35 with original Clinton….looks like a later serial number too. The recoil is a Fairbanks style seen on these sometime but not sure if it’s original to it or not….looks like a great candidate for restoration having the original style tires and even the belt guard only used for 1957 that are normally missing!

If I buy it, I might just have to see if I can drive the thing home!  Crossing a busy road might be the only obstacle.

As you know, RJ-35 and high speed are not synonymous!                            Got to pray for light traffic.

Or go an extra 3 miles and run it right through downtown and the traffic light :handgestures-thumbupright:  might need a trailer for fuel then…

Believe it or not, I have a schedule sometimes.  Yesterday was busy with chasing a cute 3 year old around and picking up tables for a garage yard sale.  Today, I need to push hard to finish the outdoor kitchen for my Aunt and Uncle.  Paycheck’s on Friday, or whenever I finish… whatever comes last!

Well, I came up with some cash just days late.  Went over yesterday and it was gone.  A phone call confirmed it’s been sold.  I saved some coin I suppose…

Thanks AMC. That’s fitting considering the circumstances.

That’s the happiest poop I’ve seen in quite a while…

I have been thinking about that tractor and how it could go different.  When we buy tractors we have to make the critical decision whether to use money in the bank, or money set aside for play.  In less than 12 months, we’ve added a Senior, Lever Steer and another RJ35 to the collection.  I feel like I made the right move consciously to wait until I had extra $$ to make the call.  No harm, no foul.
