ebinmaine 67,604 #1 Posted September 1, 2021 In continuance of the theme of BBT and I trying to become more self sufficient we buy the tools necessary for a job whenever it's practical to do so. My 86 Ford F-250 needs the rear axle rebuilt and part of the process is driving very large bearings in and out. I found this kit on the jungle site. The tools range from 70mm to 150mm. Roughly 2.755" to 5.9". Seems to be of good overall quality. The case. Is. Trash. Buy it for the tools. Junk the case and put everything somewhere else... IMHO, For around $125/$130 it's a great deal. 3

More than just the hinge is busticated but it's usable. Edited September 1, 2021 by ebinmaine
WHX?? 48,828 #4 Posted September 1, 2021 I've got a similar set that was dirt cheap in the jungle for doing trannies but found that since they are more metric than SAE do not fit bearings/ seals well. Still for a hobbyist's money .... https://www.amazon.com/Prokomon-Bearing-Race-Seal-Driver/dp/B08MT3WDJN/ref=sr_1_28?crid=2K38RQ83FHEJL&dchild=1&keywords=seal+driver+set&qid=1630509454&sprefix=seal+driv%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-28

Still for a hobbyist's money That was my line of thinking as well. The larger one I need will be pretty close. The smaller one is a little off but should be usable. The ACTUAL Ford or equivalent tool is either rare as hen's teeth or part of a $600 technicians grade set.
