AHS 1,440 #1 Posted August 30, 2021 I’ve been waiting for this…. For about a year! For $175!! It’s got 4 inflated tires… bonus!! A M10 and a unripped seat and a muffler with NO holes and wheel weights!! With smaller tires (I think) and 1” axles. It’s got water in the gas tank… the gas cap with the gauge is missing the clear peice. kpinnc 12,049 #6 Posted August 30, 2021 (edited) Maybe it's the small exhaust valve, but there is something about the 10hp Kohlers. They run so quiet for a big block, and the hp rating just doesn't do them justice. I've tilled hard red clay with mine- and it soldiered through it like a Balboa flick (I could hear the music), and even slung a 48 inch deck under it in an emergency. It complained a little with the 48, but it pushed on through! My neighbor had one of those big box 20+ hp riding mowers, and he was always jealous of my 310-8. He referred to it as "a MOWchine" regularly. I would always tell him not to feel bad, because lots of us had ride on toys when we were kids too! At least he didn't have to pedal it... I have a herd of horses and I have a 1980’s 310-8 with a Kohler Mag 10. 1000 hours and my go to. I’d fix her up and run her. Save the M16 for another build, just my HO. WheelPuke 77 #12 Posted September 3, 2021 (edited) According to my 1988 300/400 Series Parts & Service Manual the parts that fit your 310: Shut off valve number is: 104048 fuel line from the petcock is: 110894 Corbin clamp number is: 108898 Rubber bushing, as the manual calls it : 104047 Good thing I re-read before I posted because I almost called it a feces off valve. It was wierd the way Toro did it with the 300 and 400 series vs the way WH did it with the B series and C series. I think the C series was equal to the the 400 series.. with the 8 pinion rear end and the 8” front rims. Ive got a B80; and it seems just like a C series. 76 B80 with the 8 speed and the 1 1/8 axles (did that have the 4 pinion or the 8 pinion?) , and the 8” front rims. It feels like a C series. I’m like “can I make this 8hp Kohler ‘work’”? HAHA.. it’s a Kohler… I don’t think I can “make it ‘work’” with a plow! 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
