pacer 3,174 #3 Posted August 28, 2021 Ahhh, flange bolts/nuts! One of the nicer additions I started adding to my shop supply drawers. Few years ago I kept running across those and liked them .... so, I finally went to my local fastener store. Told the guy what I wanted and asked if I could go back to the bins with him, he agreed. I started in - 25 of these, 50 of those, 100 of these, etc etc, got the nuts too. I had a goodly supply of the 3 common ones --- 1/4-5/16-3/8" and was surprised that the bill was only around $50..... Bout all I use anymore.

pacer 3,174 #6 Posted August 28, 2021 @8ntruck @earlleecliffton This place is an independent, ran by same family for ....ever? Real dump of a looking place, but they have got about anything relating to fastening, and I'm usually surprised at the cost -- especially like compared going to HD or Lowes. When I'm rushed I'll go to Tractor supply, theyre not too bad with their "by the pound" pricing, and they are closer. Earlelee, while I see Mcmaster shows black (rather proud of them too!!) I have never seen them, all I've seen are the zinc plated in grade 5. Side note: I have a MF Garden tractor and Massey used only flanged hardware all thru the sheet metal, etc..... kpinnc 12,806 #8 Posted August 29, 2021 I would suggest staying away from the ones with the little "cup" on top. Just another place to hold water and/or crud. Potential spot to start rusting.
